Village Olympics celebrates 40 action-packed years

The Saddleworth Village Olympics celebrated its 40th anniversary, tracing its origins to David Needham's vision as former chair of Saddleworth Parish Council. The event, initially intended as a one-time fundraiser for local youth, has grown into a beloved tradition. Rugby legend Kevin Sinfield opened the games, sharing his own participation as a child. The organizing committee, volunteers, coaches, and village teams were thanked for their efforts.
