Visiting Angels Manchester East Raises £550 for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice
Visiting Angels Manchester East raised £550 for Dr Kershaw’s Hospice through a community raffle after the hospice cared for two of the company’s clients.
Visiting Angels Manchester East has handed £550 to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice after a raffle that drew support from staff, clients and neighbours across Oldham.
Roxie and colleague Kim delivered the cheque to Jill and the hospice team last week, honouring a pledge made when the Featherstall Road-based care company watched the charity comfort two of its own clients during their final days.
“Seeing the care, dignity, and compassion shown to our clients and their families at Dr Kershaw’s truly stayed with us,” said Roxie, who co-owns the multi-award-winning service with Badar. “Donations like these are vital in helping such an incredible hospice continue supporting people when they need it most.”
The company, which provides home care across Oldham and surrounding districts, said giving back is woven into its mission of keeping people safe and independent in their own homes.
