Posh nosh and plenty of support at Team Hill's annual dinner
Team Hill Charitable Trust’s annual “Posh Dinner” in Oldham raised funds for local causes and Uganda projects, with guests praising the food, entertainment and atmosphere.
Laughter, music and generosity collided on a glittering night as more than 200 guests packed into the venue for the Team Hill Charitable Trust’s Annual Posh Dinner, raising thousands for grassroots projects in Oldham and rural Uganda.
Faz Shah’s beat-box violin had the dance-floor swaying first, followed by quick-fire comedy from The Jon Penn Show and a closing acoustic set from Neil Aylett that kept heels clicking until the lights came up. Between sets, diners tucked into a three-course meal while auction bids and raffle ticket sales pushed the fundraising total ever higher.
Steve Hill, who founded the trust after a 2018 volunteering trip to Kampala, could barely contain his grin. “We’re absolutely delighted with how the evening went,” he said. “It was wonderful to see so many people coming together to enjoy themselves while also helping to raise money for such important causes. The generosity of our supporters never fails to amaze us.”
Guests were already marking next year’s calendars before they collected their coats. “It was such a brilliant evening - great food, fantastic entertainment, and all for a really good cause. We’ll definitely be back next year!” one said. Another added: “The Posh Dinner is always such a highlight. You get to have a wonderful night out while knowing you’re helping to make a real difference.” The 2026 edition is locked in for 9 October.
