Two schools in Oldham, Broadfield Primary School and Oldham Sixth Form College (OSFC), have been ranked among the top 10 in England in the Edurio Staff Choice Award, which measures staff satisfaction and workplace recommendations.
Two Pinnacle Trust Schools Rank Among England’s Best Places to Work
Oldham - Two academies run by the Pinnacle Learning Trust have been named among the top ten schools in England for staff satisfaction, according to the 2023-24 Edurio Staff Choice Award.
Broadfield Primary School and Oldham Sixth Form College (OSFC) placed in the national top ten after employees gave the workplaces the highest possible recommendation scores. The award is based on a single survey question—“On a scale from 1 to 10, how likely are you to recommend your workplace as a good place to work?”—answered by thousands of staff across the country during the last academic year.
Edurio, which analysed the responses, said the two Oldham schools recorded “exceptional” results that put them in the highest tier of its national dataset. Trust chief executive Jayne Clarke OBE said the ranking reflects months of deliberate work to build a supportive culture. “Working in education can be challenging for colleagues in all types of role, and having a clear and shared sense of purpose and commitment to our vision and values is really important in achieving success,” Clarke noted. “We also work hard to ensure everyone in our trust has a real sense of belonging, which is a key factor in promoting such positivity.”
Oldham Sixth Form College principal Suzannah Reeves called the campus “a wonderful and very rewarding place to work,” while acting Broadfield Primary head Carol Walker praised her “dedicated, positive, and committed team” for making the school “a truly special place.”
The Pinnacle Learning Trust oversees five schools in total: Broadfield Primary, OSFC, The Hathershaw College, Werneth Primary, and Alexandra Park Junior.
