Local Manufacturer Spreads Holiday Cheer with 100 Selection Boxes for Young Carers and Patients

Trans-Web, a leading manufacturer of lifting, lashing and height safety equipment, has donated 100 selection boxes to young carers and child patients at the Royal Oldham Hospital, continuing their five-year partnership with Team Hill Charitable Trust.

The donation arrives just in time for Christmas, bringing sweet treats to children facing challenging circumstances. “Christmas is the season of giving - and there’s no better way to bring smiles to children’s faces than with a little chocolate. We’re delighted to help Team Hill deliver these selection boxes to children and young carers at the Royal Oldham Hospital,” said Lee, Director of Trans-Web.

Team Hill Charitable Trust, founded in 2019 by Steve Hill MBE, provides homes, healthcare and education for children and young people both locally in Oldham and internationally in Uganda. The charity has benefited from Trans-Web’s ongoing support, including sponsorship of fundraising events and storage of equipment at their warehouse facilities.

Steve Hill has undertaken extreme challenges across five continents to raise funds, including climbing one of the world’s highest mountains, running marathons in the North Pole, Amazon Jungle and Arctic, and completing 14 marathons in 16 days across Costa Rica and Tajikistan. Earlier this year, he ran five consecutive marathons in the Gobi Desert before climbing Central America’s five highest mountains, raising over £100,000 since the charity’s inception.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received over the last five years and Trans-Web in particular have been a great help to Team Hill. Lee is always willing to help us in any way he can and his contributions are always greatly appreciated,” said Steve Hill.
