Theatre group going from strength to strength as 10th birthday approaches

Royton’s Perform Oldham marks decade of drama with Beauty and the Beast pantomime
Perform Oldham turns ten this year, and the Royton-based theatre group is celebrating with its most ambitious pantomime yet. After staging Jack and the Beanstalk last season, the company now brings Beauty and the Beast to Trinity Methodist Church on Friday, February 21 at 7pm and February 22 at 1:30pm and 7pm.
“We’ve gone from strength to strength,” says choreographer Paige, reflecting on the company’s journey since 2015. “We strive for a sense of family and encouragement, and we love to see the student’s confidence grow with every show we do.”
The group serves 5- to 17-year-olds through its minis, rising stars and shooting stars programmes, plus an adult section, and will follow the pantomime with a junior production later this year. Recent junior shows have included The Wizard of Oz and A Night at the Musical Museum, featuring numbers from SIX, Hamilton and Hairspray. Between productions the company runs singing, dancing and acting workshops. Tickets for Beauty and the Beast are £6 adults, £4 concessions.
