Studio OL3 Scholarship Launches to Fund Computer Science Education at Hulme Grammar School

Studio OL3, an architectural firm headquartered in Oldham, has announced a new scholarship that will fully fund a Year 7 pupil’s computer science education at Hulme Grammar School. The initiative will cover memberships, subscriptions, cutting-edge equipment, and personalized experiences tailored to the recipient’s interests and career goals.

The scholarship arrives at an institution with deep STEM roots—Hulme Grammar School counts physicist Professor Brian Cox, psychiatrist Dame Susan Bailey, and surgeon-humanitarian Dr David Nott among its distinguished alumni. The school has built its reputation educating students across Oldham and the North West who go on to achieve global impact.

Craig Devenport, Studio OL3’s founder, said he established the scholarship to provide opportunities he lacked growing up. “I didn’t have access to initiatives like this, and I know how transformative they can be,” Devenport explained. “My goal is to inspire the next generation to pursue their dreams and equip them with the skills and experiences to succeed. Computer science and technology are driving our future, and I’m proud to support a young person from our community in this exciting field.”
