SPARK Oldham celebration event will mark International Women's Day

A SPARK Oldham workshop event will be held on March 6 at Royton Town Hall to celebrate International Women's Day, featuring inspirational women sharing their stories and leading workshops on mindfulness, self-care, and self-worth.

Oldham, 6 Mar — Women who volunteer with SPARK Oldham will lead a free International Women’s Day workshop at Royton Town Hall next Thursday, sharing stories of personal growth and running sessions on mindfulness, self-care and self-worth.

The drop-in event, sponsored by The Co-op, runs 12 pm-2 pm on Rochdale Road and is open to all.

The programme repeats three 20-minute workshops so every visitor can take part:

Workshop 1 - Future You
Workshop 2 - Find Your Spark
Workshop 3 - Focus on You

Doors open at 12 pm for arrivals and short women’s testimonies; the first workshop round starts at 12.30 pm.

SPARK Oldham, a community-interest company, says it uses “a people- and community-first approach” to design programmes that meet local needs. The organisation’s three stated values are improving health and wellbeing, inspiring through volunteering, and investing in young people, children and families.
