Smiles all round as Band Club celebrate again

Dobcross Band Club celebrated a double success in the CAMRA real ale awards, winning Best Club in Rochdale, Oldham and Bury, and Best Club in Greater Manchester. The awards were presented by CAMRA's Regional Director Ralph Warrington, who praised the club's welcoming atmosphere and quality ales. Club steward Adele Taylor expressed pride in the recognition of her team's efforts, while former steward John Holden continues to contribute to maintaining high beer standards.

Dobcross Band Club erupted in celebration as they claimed two coveted CAMRA real ale awards, cementing their reputation as a cornerstone of Greater Manchester’s beer scene.

Ralph Warrington, Greater Manchester CAMRA regional director, presented the trophies for Best Club in Rochdale, Oldham and Bury alongside the prestigious Best Club in Greater Manchester title. Members from both the local Rochdale, Oldham and Bury branch and the wider Greater Manchester regional branch gathered to mark the club’s remarkable achievement.

“The warm welcome here is matched only by the quality and range of real ales,” Warrington noted as he handed over the awards.

Club steward Adele Taylor accepted the honors with visible pride, acknowledging the recognition for her team’s year-round dedication. Behind the scenes, former steward John Holden continues to play a crucial role in maintaining the exceptional beer standards that have become the club’s hallmark.
