Silcock's announce two new rides for Daisy Nook Easter Fair

Silcock’s has announced two new rides for the 2025 Daisy Nook Easter Fair: a 75-foot Big Wheel and The Joker, a high-speed attraction new to the North West. The event will run for 17 days during the Easter school holidays, featuring various rides, games, and food options.

Silcock’s has unveiled two major new attractions for its 2025 Easter Fair at Daisy Nook Country Park, including the tallest ride in the family firm’s history.

The 17-day event will feature a 75-foot Big Wheel with 16 gondolas seating four passengers each, offering panoramic views across Oldham, Tameside and the M60 motorway from the apparently secluded beauty spot.

Making its North West debut, The Joker brings European “Break Dance” thrills to ground level with a giant turntable spinning two-seater cars at an angle. The new ride joins returning favourites Freak Out and Side Kick for adrenaline seekers.

Traditional attractions include the Waltzer, Dodgems, Mexican Wave, Ski Jump, Super Bob, family coaster, fun house, slides and children’s rides alongside hook-a-duck games and food stalls serving burgers, hot dogs and sweet treats.

“We can’t wait to be back at Daisy Nook for the full duration of the school holidays,” said funfair boss John Silcock. “It’s great to be offering not one but two major new rides for 2025. Personally, I’m intrigued to see what the views will be like from the top of the big wheel - our biggest ever! But it you haven’t got a head for heights, then why not give The Joker a spin?”

The free-entry fair runs from Saturday 5th April to Bank Holiday Monday 21st April at Stannybrook Lane, Failsworth, opening daily from 12-6pm with limited free parking available.
