Police issue witness appeal following Failsworth collision involving woman in her 90s

A woman in her 90s was seriously injured after being hit by a reversing car on Albert Road West, Failsworth, prompting GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit to appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage.

A woman in her 90s remains in serious condition after being struck by a reversing vehicle on Albert Road West in Failsworth Wednesday afternoon.

The collision occurred around 2pm when the elderly pedestrian was hit by the car. Emergency services transported her to hospital where she continues to receive treatment for serious injuries.

Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit has launched an investigation into the incident and is appealing for witnesses to come forward. Officers are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen the vehicle driving before the collision, witnessed the actual impact, or has dashcam or CCTV footage of the incident.
