Pinnacle Learning Trust Earns Double Nomination at MAT Excellence Awards

The Oldham-based Pinnacle Learning Trust has secured two prestigious nominations at this year’s MAT Excellence Awards, earning recognition for both financial leadership and commitment to wellbeing across its academies.

The trust, headquartered in Oldham, will compete for Wellbeing Trust of the Year and CFO of the Year at the upcoming ceremony in June. Stewart Ash, the trust’s chief financial officer, received his nomination for transformational work that has strengthened the organization’s financial position.

“It’s really pleasing to have been shortlisted for CFO of the year, and I’m very proud of our achievements,” Ash said. “This nomination reflects the dedication and togetherness of the teams I represent, and of the wider trust colleagues with whom I work, for the ultimate benefit of our children and young people in the community of Oldham.”

Jayne Clarke OBE, the trust’s chief executive, praised both the organization’s financial stewardship and its dedication to staff and student wellbeing. “We are delighted and grateful to have been shortlisted for these two significant awards,” Clarke said. “Stewart’s work as our CFO is outstanding and he richly deserves this recognition, and we place great importance on wellbeing so we are particularly proud to have been shortlisted in this category too.”

The wellbeing nomination builds on the trust’s recent success at the Edurio Staff Choice Awards, where PLT ranked among the top ten trusts in England. Senior leaders will attend the June ceremony to celebrate alongside other nominated trusts from across the UK.
