Officers seeking more information after 70-year-old man robbed

Police are seeking information after a 70-year-old man was robbed on the morning of November 9 while walking home from a 24-hour store in Cheetham Hill. The victim was followed and attacked on Upper Park Road, resulting in minor injuries and the theft of his wallet. Authorities have released an image of a suspect and urge the public to come forward with any details.

Police hunt robber who ambushed 70-year-old man on Upper Park Road

A 70-year-old man was attacked from behind and robbed of his wallet while walking home from a 24-hour store in Cheetham Hill early Saturday, 9 November. The assault occurred around 6:30 a.m. on Upper Park Road, near the Salford-Manchester border, after the suspect had followed the victim along Bury Old Road. The pensioner sustained minor injuries.

Detectives have released an image of a man they believe can assist their investigation and are urging anyone who recognizes him or witnessed the incident to come forward.
