Officers appealing for information after man injured in Shaw incident
Police are appealing for information after a man was seriously injured in an altercation on Market Street, Shaw, Oldham, on 15 June. Three men were arrested on suspicion of affray, and the victim's injuries are not life-threatening. Authorities are seeking CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage and witness accounts.
Police have arrested three men after a serious assault left one man hospitalized on Market Street in Shaw, Oldham, Saturday evening.
Emergency services responded to reports of a group fighting around 8:25 p.m. on 15 June. Officers found one man suffering from a significant slash injury and transported him to hospital. Medical staff report his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
Greater Manchester Police immediately launched an investigation and took three men into custody on suspicion of affray. The suspects remain in police custody for questioning.
Detective Inspector Roberto Dicorato from GMP’s Oldham district is leading the investigation. “We are still investigating the full circumstances of last night’s incident and have already made a number of arrests. As this work continues, we are appealing for anyone with information to please come forward,” Dicorato said. “Your information could greatly assist with our ongoing work - and you can choose to come to us directly or anonymously.”
