Officers appeal for witnesses after woman seriously injured in Oldham crash
A woman in her 70s was seriously injured in a collision with a brown Vauxhall Corsa on Manchester Street, Oldham, on 10/3/25. The driver, a 24-year-old woman, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and later released on bail. Police are appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage.
A 70-year-old woman fights for her life in hospital after being struck by a car in Oldham yesterday morning, prompting an urgent witness appeal from collision investigators.
The serious crash occurred around 10:50am on Manchester Street when a brown Vauxhall Corsa, which had travelled along King Street, turned onto Manchester Street and collided with the pedestrian as she crossed the road.
Emergency services rushed the injured woman to hospital where she remains in critical condition with serious injuries. The 24-year-old driver stopped at the scene and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving. After being interviewed by officers, she has been released on bail pending further investigation.
