Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a suspected arson attack on Stamford Road in Longsight, south Manchester. The incident occurred around 1:55 AM on May 7, 2025, with an elderly man in his 80s hospitalized in stable condition. No arrests have been made, and investigations are ongoing. An elderly man was hospitalized after a fire broke out on Stamford Road in Longsight, south Manchester, early Wednesday morning.

Emergency services responded to the scene around 1:55 am on May 7, 2025, after receiving reports of the blaze. Greater Manchester Police officers arrived alongside firefighters from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service to tackle the incident.

The victim, a man in his 80s, was transported to hospital for treatment and remains in stable condition. Authorities have not made any arrests as the investigation continues.
