Officer appeal for witnesses following fatal collision in Wythenshawe on Sunday
A man in his 60s and his dog were fatally struck by a vehicle at the junction of Hollyhedge Road and Greenwood Road in Wythenshawe on Sunday, 9 March 2025. A woman in her 40s was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving but has been released on bail. Police are appealing for witnesses and any relevant footage or information to assist their investigation.
Man and Dog Killed in Wythenshawe Collision, Police Appeal for Witnesses
A man in his 60s and his dog died after being struck by a vehicle at the junction of Hollyhedge Road and Greenwood Road in Wythenshawe shortly before 5pm on Sunday 9 March 2025.
The incident occurred when a black car travelling south on Greenwood Road collided with another vehicle on the opposing carriageway before hitting the pedestrian and his dog. Emergency services attended but both the man and the dog were pronounced dead at the scene.
A woman in her 40s was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. She has since been released on bail.
