A couple from Oldham, Emma and Martin Brierley, missed the entire Oasis concert at Heaton Park after Martin was violently attacked for accidentally knocking over someone's beer. The incident left Martin with a head injury, two black eyes, and other injuries, requiring medical treatment. Despite paying £300 for tickets, the couple spent the night in A&E and were dissatisfied with the police response, as they were not given a crime reference number or visited by an officer afterward.
