Oldham Aim for Sixth Straight Win Against Workington

Oldham Roughyeds return to Betfred Championship action this Sunday, hosting Workington Town at Bower Fold with a 3pm kick-off as they chase a sixth consecutive league victory. Coach Alan Kilshaw has named a squad similar to last week’s dominant win over Hunslet, with new signing Luke Forber going straight into contention for his debut. The former Rochdale and North Wales winger is in line to feature, while Jack Walker has fully recovered from a hamstring strain and retains his place. Luke Thomas has returned to Warrington after completing his one-week loan spell.

Workington have won only two of their opening nine Championship matches this season, but recent performances show signs of improvement. They edged fellow Cumbrians Whitehaven 22-14 before pushing third-placed Midlands Hurricanes close in a 24-20 defeat. Oldham hold a strong recent record, unbeaten in the last six meetings between the sides, and will look to maintain that run.
