Mansell to relocate from Bolton to Oldham

Mansell Building Solutions is relocating from Bolton to a new 45,000 sq ft facility in Oldham's Broadway Business Park to better meet production needs and support regional housing targets. The move will enhance operations across Greater Manchester and includes plans for training and apprenticeships.

Mansell Building Solutions relocates from Horwich to 45,000 sq ft Chadderton warehouse

Chadderton will become the new base for Mansell Building Solutions after the panelised-construction specialist signed a ten-year lease on a 45,000 sq ft warehouse at Oldham Broadway Business Park. The move, brokered by Kuits, swaps the family firm’s current Horwich site for a modern detached unit the company says will let it serve building sites across Wigan, Manchester, Trafford, Salford and Stockport more efficiently while helping the region hit its 75,000-new-homes-a-year target.

Angela Mansell, managing director of the 1991-founded, second-generation business now co-owned with sister Stephanie, said framework appointments on Great Places Housing Group’s Innovation Chain North and the Off-Site Home Alliance pipelines had outgrown the existing plant. “Our framework appointments and multiple contract awards for projects currently spread across five Greater Manchester Boroughs necessitate a facility that better serves our growing needs,” she explained, adding that the site will house dedicated training, demonstration and CPD areas “that feed into our ability to provide building certainty.”

Oldham Social Enterprise Ambassador Anwar Ali, whose Upturn Enterprise Ltd is supporting the relocation, welcomed the incoming employer: “SMEs, especially those that are family run, have a unique offer and I’m really pleased they’ll be coming to Oldham.” Ali noted the borough’s recent ranking among the UK’s best start-up locations and said Mansell’s 34-year track record gives it “super strong foundations” on which to expand.
