Man arrested after incident on bus service on 3 May 2025

A man in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of voyeurism following an incident on a bus service in Greater Manchester on 3 May 2025. Footage of the incident was shared online, and the suspect has been bailed with conditions prohibiting him from using the bus network. Police are continuing their investigation and urged the public to report any safety concerns.

A man in his 60s has been arrested on suspicion of voyeurism after an incident aboard a Greater Manchester bus on Saturday, 3 May 2025.

Transport Unit officers launched the investigation when video of the alleged offence surfaced online. Detectives traced the victim and pursued every available lead before detaining the suspect, who has since been released on bail and banned from using any bus service.

Sergeant Matthew Cowin of the Transport Unit confirmed: “We questioned a man in his 60s in relation to this incident and he has since been bailed with strict conditions. This is an ongoing investigation, but I want to reassure the public that we take incidents as such as this one incredibly serious.
