Hulme Grammar students' hard work pays off handsomely

Hulme Grammar School in Oldham has announced outstanding GCSE results for its 2025 cohort, with over 10% achieving Grade 9, a quarter achieving Grades 8-9, and half achieving Grades 7-9. The school attributes these results to years of hard work by students and teachers, many of whom have been part of the school since nursery. The school excels in STEM education, with 80% achieving top grades in Further Maths and Chemistry. Individual successes include Ibrahim and Azlan achieving 10 Grade 9s each, and several others earning scholarships for Sixth Form study. The school promotes its Sixth Form with small classes and strong university/apprenticeship prospects, inviting prospective families to an Open Day on September 13.

Hulme Grammar School’s GCSE students have delivered exceptional results, with over 10% of the 2025 cohort achieving the elusive Grade 9 and half earning grades 7-9 across all subjects.

The outstanding performance saw a quarter of students secure grades 8 and 9, building on years of dedication that began for many in the school’s nursery. The institution’s renowned STEM education programme produced particularly impressive results, with 80% of students achieving top grades in Further Maths and Chemistry.

Ibrahim and Azlan led the individual achievements with perfect scores of 10 Grade 9s each. Thirteen students - Abdul, William, Zara, Emily, Fliss, Amy, Alishbah, Adebola, Zaynab, Hadi, Kimi, Efe and Sumaya - earned scholarships for Sixth Form study after securing top grades.

These results position the students to continue Hulme Grammar’s tradition of producing medical professionals, with the majority now entering the school’s Sixth Form. The programme offers small classes, excellent teaching and crucial work experience opportunities through the Hulme Alumni Network - giving students a significant advantage when applying for competitive university courses including medical degrees.

The school will host an Open Day on September 13 for prospective students and their families.
