Hulme Grammar School has received 50 high-specification computer monitors through a donation arranged by alumnus James Waterfall, who graduated from the school in 1997 and now serves as EUC Service Delivery Director at American Express Global Business Travel.

The monitors, which became available after Amex GBT upgraded its IT infrastructure, were installed throughout the school in classrooms, support services and staff areas. The equipment has immediately enhanced digital learning resources for students while modernizing workspaces for faculty.

The donation arrives at a crucial time for educational institutions facing budget constraints. Gifts of equipment like these monitors provide significant facility improvements while reducing expenditure pressures on schools.

Waterfall, who maintains fond memories of his time at Hulme, quickly coordinated the donation when he recognized the opportunity to help his former school. “I’m really proud to be able to support Hulme in this way,” Waterfall said. “When I realised the monitors from our IT refresh at Amex GBT were still in great condition, it made perfect sense to offer them to my old school. I know they’ll be put to excellent use.”
