GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit appeal for information following a serious road traffic collision on A34
A serious road traffic collision occurred on the A34 in Gatley on Monday, 26 May 2025, involving a white VW Golf R estate. The 24-year-old male driver suffered serious head injuries and remains in a life-threatening condition. GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is appealing for witnesses or anyone with footage to come forward.
A 24-year-old man remains in hospital with life-threatening head injuries after his car left the A34 in Gatley and rolled onto its side.
The single-vehicle crash happened around 9:50 pm on Monday, 26 May 2025, when the white VW Golf R estate he was driving north on the busy road veered off the carriageway. Emergency crews found the man, the car’s only occupant, seriously injured at the scene and rushed him to hospital where his condition is described as serious.
Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit has launched an enquiry and is appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash-cam or mobile-phone footage captured in the moments before the collision. “It is a busy road and there may have been people driving past that could have seen something that may help our enquiries,” officers said.
