Concerns grow for missing Greater Manchester man last seen three days ago
Concerns are growing for Aurangzeb, a 54-year-old man missing from Oldham, last seen in the Werneth area at 5pm on July 26. He has links to Rochdale and was wearing a black fleece jacket, black cap, beige cargo pants, and carrying a black backpack with a red string bag. Police are urging the public to come forward with any information.

A 54-year-old man named Aurangzeb has vanished from his Oldham home, with police saying they are “becoming increasingly concerned” after three days without contact.
Greater Manchester Police reported Aurangzeb was last spotted in the Werneth area of Oldham at 5pm on Saturday, July 26. The missing man, who also has connections to Rochdale, is described as Asian, approximately 5ft 8ins tall, with a slim build and black hair.
When last seen, Aurangzeb wore a black fleece jacket, black cap and beige cargo pants. He carried a black backpack with a red string bag attached and had brown walking boots hanging from it.
“Can you help officers find Aurangzeb? They want to make sure he is safe and well,” a GMP spokesperson posted on social media. “He has links to both the Rochdale and Oldham areas. Any information? Please call 101.”
Anyone who spots Aurangzeb or knows his whereabouts should contact police immediately, quoting log number 2340 of July 28, 2025.
