Two adults and a child were injured in a non-life-threatening road crash involving two cars on Oldham Way in Oldham on December 21. Emergency services responded, and the road was temporarily closed for investigation and cleanup.

Three people, including a child, were injured in a head-on collision that shut down Oldham Way on Saturday afternoon.

The crash occurred around 4:30pm when two cars collided head-on, according to emergency services. All three victims - two adults and one child - had managed to escape their vehicles before firefighters, paramedics and police arrived at the scene.

A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “At around 4:30pm on Saturday afternoon, firefighters were called to reports of a crash on Oldham Way in Oldham. One fire engine from Chadderton fire station quickly arrived at the scene, which involved two cars. Three casualties (two adults and one child) had all self-rescued before the arrival of the fire service and received treatment from colleagues from the North West Ambulance Service for non life-threatening injuries.”

Emergency crews closed the main road while treating the injured and conducting investigation work. Firefighters used oil absorbent pads and specialist equipment to clear the scene before departing at approximately 5:30pm.
