Chadderton-based business LWC, the UK’s largest independent drinks wholesaler, has won the 'Large Employer of the Year' award at the 2025 Greater Manchester Skills Awards for its commitment to apprenticeships and local talent development. The company has created over 300 apprenticeship opportunities since 2020, with all participants securing permanent roles. LWC has also invested £12.5 million in a new distribution centre in Chadderton, further supporting local employment and skills development.
