Blue Coat Head's delight on another memorable A Level results day
Blue Coat School in Oldham celebrated another successful A Level results day, with students achieving high grades and securing placements at prestigious universities. Kieran Silika and Noyon Hassan both received A* grades in all subjects, with Kieran heading to Oxford University and Noyon to Imperial College. Fifteen students will progress into medicine or dentistry, nearly a third of all results were A*/A, 91% secured university placements, and half will attend Russell Group universities. Many students also secured apprenticeships. Headteacher Rob Higgins praised the students, families, and staff for their hard work and support.
Blue Coat students celebrated exceptional A Level results with two classmates achieving perfect scores and nearly a third earning A* or A grades across all subjects.
Kieran Silika and Noyon Hassan both secured A* grades in every subject, with Silika heading to Oxford University to study Human Sciences and Hassan attending Imperial College for Chemical Engineering.
“I am so happy that two years of hard work have paid off and I am excited for the next chapter at Oxford University,” Silika said.
Hassan credited the school community for his success: “I have been so happy here as part of the Blue Coat community. My results are not only down to hard work but the dedication of the people around me.”
Fifteen students, including Amaan Aslam, Jacob Rigney and Abid Ali who achieved multiple A* grades, will pursue medicine or dentistry. Overall, 91% of students secured their preferred university places, with half attending Russell Group universities and 55% studying STEM subjects.
Headteacher Rob Higgins praised the achievements: “They have worked incredibly hard over the past two years and this morning it has been a joy and a privilege to be able to celebrate with them and their families. The A Level results they have achieved will enable them to progress to the pathways and careers that they have dreamed of.”
