Dr Zahid Chauhan named Honorary Freeman of Oldham
Councillor Dr Zahid Chauhan OBE was formally appointed as an Honorary Freeman of the Borough of Oldham during a ceremony on Saturday at 11am. The event took place in the Council Chamber and was attended by Mayor of Oldham Councillor Eddie Moores. Chief Executive Mrs Shelley Kipling and Monitoring Officer Mr Alex Bougatef were present at the official appointment. Deputy Mayor Councillor Brian Hobin accompanied the Mayor for the proceedings. The highest civic honour the Council can bestow was presented to recognise public life service.
