Two more murder suspects named after teen, 19, stabbed to death
Two more suspects, Biryan Ak and Mohammed Rayhan, have been charged with murder and violent disorder in connection with the death of 19-year-old Mohammed Afzal, who was stabbed to death in Bury. A third suspect, Abbas Hussain, was previously charged with murder and possession of a bladed article. The incident occurred at the Powerleague football complex car park near Bury College on August 1. Three men are now charged, while two others have been bailed. GMP continues to investigate and urges anyone with information to come forward.
Three Men Charged With Murder After 19-Year-Old Stabbed to Death in Bury

Greater Manchester Police have now charged three more men in connection with the death of 19-year-old Mohammed Afzal, who was stabbed to death in Bury on August 1, 2025.
Two More Suspects Charged
In addition to the three men previously reported, two others have now been charged:
- Biryan Ak - charged with murder and violent disorder
- Abbas Hussain - charged with murder and violent disorder
- Mohammed Rayhan - charged with murder and violent disorder
All five are due to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court today (August 6), GMP confirmed.
