Suspected stolen bike seized from youths near South Chadderton tram stop

A suspected stolen bike was seized by police near South Chadderton tram stop after officers responded to reports of anti-social behavior involving a large group of youths.

Police seized a suspected stolen Surron bike after breaking up a gathering of approximately 30 youths at South Chadderton tram stop on Friday.

Officers responded to reports of anti-social behavior around the tram stop on December 27, where they found the large group of teenagers aged 13 to 15 congregated in the area.

“Approximately 30 youths aged 13-15 years were moved on, away from the area,” according to a statement from Oldham Police on the GMP Facebook page.

During the intervention, police discovered two youths riding an illegal Surron bike at the scene. Officers seized the vehicle on suspicion that it had been stolen.
