Suspected drug dealers arrested in Derker

Greater Manchester Police arrested three suspected drug dealers in Derker after finding drugs, cash, and a weapon in their car during a patrol. The operation has led to multiple arrests and seizures since its launch.

Police Seize Drugs and Cash in Derker Car Stop

Three men were arrested in Derker on Tuesday night after police discovered drugs, cash and a baseball bat during a routine traffic stop. Officers from Greater Manchester Police’s Operation Vulcan pulled over a vehicle that appeared to be uninsured and found the occupants seemingly under the influence of drugs.

A search of the car revealed over £1,000 in cash, unidentified liquid packages believed to contain THC, and three mobile phones in the footwell containing messages asking “are you still selling liquid?” The three occupants, aged 18, 19 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs, with the 19-year-old also facing an offensive weapon charge.

Inspector Dan Cullum from Operation Vulcan stated: “Thanks to the vigilance of officers on patrol in Derker, we have been able to seize drugs that would have been destined for our streets and arrest three people. Those involved in the supply of drugs in this community are not only helping to sustain an illicit trade which relies on exploitation, violence, and intimidation, but it is directly impacting the quality of the lives of those who are hardworking and law abiding.”

The arrests mark the latest success for Operation Vulcan, which has made 22 arrests, seized 13 vehicles, recovered five weapons and confiscated large quantities of drugs in just three weeks since its launch.
