Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said an 18-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assault and affray in connection with the same incident. He has since been released on bail pending further inquiries.

> “We understand this incident has caused concern, and we want to reassure the public that we are treating it seriously,” a GMP spokesperson said.
