Popeyes is set to open its eighth Louisiana fried chicken restaurant in Greater Manchester next month, bringing the chain’s total across the region to nine locations.

The new 2,500 sq ft restaurant will open at Manchester Fort Retail Park in Cheetham Hill, joining existing Popeyes branches in the city centre, Oldham, Ashton-under-Lyne, Stockport, Altrincham, Bolton and Bury. The fried chicken specialist, which launched its first UK restaurant in 2021, has been rapidly expanding across Greater Manchester.

The Louisiana-based chain has seen significant growth in the UK market since its launch, with the new Cheetham Hill location representing continued investment in the Greater Manchester area. The restaurant will serve the company’s signature fried chicken and other menu items that have made it a popular choice among British diners.
