Police probe follows shocking broad daylight assault outside Spindles shopping centre
Police in Oldham are investigating an assault on a 17-year-old outside Spindles Shopping Centre on January 15, 2025, and are appealing for public assistance.
A 17-year-old boy suffered facial injuries and concussion after being attacked outside Spindles Shopping Centre in Oldham on Wednesday afternoon.
The assault occurred around 12:15pm on January 15, 2025, when an unknown man approached the teenager and launched the unprovoked attack. The victim sustained visible injuries to his face and was diagnosed with concussion following the incident.
Police investigating the assault believe the suspect was wearing a black jacket and grey jeans at the time. He may have been accompanied by another man, according to initial enquiries.
Greater Manchester Police are now appealing for witnesses who were in the area around the time of the attack. Anyone who saw anything suspicious outside the shopping centre is urged to contact police on 101 quoting log 1339 of 15/01/2025. Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
