The Party in the Park event is returning for its 20th anniversary celebration on September 27, 2025, at Delph and Dobcross cricket club. The event will feature tribute acts for Rod Stewart, Dolly Parton, Abberettes, and Elton John, along with local bands Black Garter and Boundary Parkas. It aims to raise funds for local community causes and charities, with Dr Kershaw’s mascot attending. Activities include fairground rides, hot food stalls, a bar, Delph Band performance, and a fireworks display. Sponsors include Saddleworth Wine Vault, The Garage Delph, O’Donnell’s solicitors, and Ryder and Dutton. Tickets are available online and at local post offices.
Party in the Park Returns for 20th Anniversary Celebration at Delph and Dobcross Cricket Club
The beloved Party in the Park returns to Delph and Dobcross cricket club on September 27 for its 20th anniversary, featuring classic tribute acts including Rod Stewart, Dolly Parton, the ever-popular Abberettes, and headliner Elton John.
Local bands Black Garter and up-and-coming group the Boundary Parkas, making their first appearance at the event, will provide support throughout the day. The Wake Up Delph team invites everyone to join the celebration and support their fundraising efforts for local community causes and charities.
Dr Kershaw’s will attend with their mascot to help raise much-needed funds, while fairground rides, hot food stalls, and bar facilities will keep visitors entertained. The evening will conclude with performances by Delph Band and a magical fireworks display. Attendees are welcome to bring their own snacks.
Saddleworth Wine Vault will provide drinks for the popular catered gazebos, with The Garage Delph supplying all food for the day. O’Donnells solicitors and Ryder and Dutton have contributed sponsorship for the first time this year.
