Oldham Drug Bust: Two Arrested as Operation Vulcan Officers Seize Cocaine and Heroin
Two people are in custody after specialist officers raided a property on Siddall Street in Oldham Thursday morning, uncovering cocaine, heroin, and drug dealing equipment.
Operation Vulcan officers executed the warrant at the poorly maintained house, where they arrested a 47-year-old man on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs and a 52-year-old woman on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
The search revealed quantities of cocaine and heroin, cash, several mobile phones, and drugs paraphernalia including digital scales, debtors lists, and snap bags. Police say they will pursue a closure order on the property to prevent further criminal activity.
Inspector Dan Cullum from Operation Vulcan praised the intelligence that led to the successful operation: “What made this operation particularly successful was the quality of intelligence we received from the local residents and partner agencies who were concerned about criminal activity affecting their community. The intelligence provided helped us not only identify the suspects but also understand the wider impact these activities were having on local residents.”
Cullum encouraged residents to report criminal activity by calling 999 in emergencies, 101 for non-emergency matters, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
