Oldham trio charged in connection with widespread fraud offences
Three individuals from Oldham—Adal Ahmed (29), Sammy Ullah (30), and Vaqas Mohammed (34)—have been charged with multiple counts of fraud by false representation, totaling 37 charges. The charges stem from an investigation into fraudulent activities involving hire vehicles across several regions between September 2023 and June 2024. They are set to appear in court on July 29, 2025.
Three Oldham men face a combined 37 fraud charges after an investigation into a hire-vehicle scam that stretched across Greater Manchester, West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and Cheshire.
Adal Ahmed, 29, Sammy Ullah, 30, and Vaqas Mohammed, 34, were each charged with multiple counts of fraud by false representation, the Crown Prosecution Service confirmed. Ahmed faces 12 counts, Ullah 11 and Mohammed 14.
Detectives from the Economic Crime Unit built the case against the trio, examining offences committed between September 2023 and June 2024. All three are scheduled to appear together at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on 29 July 2025.
