Man charged with range of offences including causing death by dangerous driving after a fatal RTC in Rochdale on Wednesday 3 December 2024

Mohammed Raheem Arshad, a 29-year-old from Rochdale, has been charged with multiple offences including causing death by dangerous driving, driving whilst unlicensed and uninsured, attempted theft of a motor vehicle, aggravated TWOC, and driving whilst unfit through drugs. The charges stem from a fatal collision on Manchester Road in Rochdale on 3 December 2024, which resulted in the death of an 18-year-old. Arshad has been remanded into custody and is set to appear at Manchester Magistrates Court on 5 December 2024.

Mohammed Raheem Arshad stands charged with causing the death of an 18-year-old in a Rochdale collision that occurred just two days before his court appearance. The 29-year-old, whose address is Manchester Road, Rochdale, faces seven charges including causing death by dangerous driving, causing death while unlicensed, and causing death while uninsured.

The fatal crash happened Wednesday evening on Manchester Road when a Toyota Aqua Hybrid collided with a Volkswagen Up, claiming the life of the teenage victim. Arshad also faces charges of attempted theft of a motor vehicle, aggravated taking without consent, and driving while unfit through drugs.

He has been remanded into custody and will appear before Manchester Magistrates Court on Thursday 5 December 2024.
