Man charged with attempt murder following incident in Dukinfield

A man named Yong Feng Chen, from Dagenham, East London, has been charged with attempted murder following a stabbing incident in Dukinfield, Tameside, on 15 January 2025. The victim, a woman in her 40s, is recovering in stable condition. Chen has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Stockport Magistrates Court on 17 January 2025. Greater Manchester Police confirmed the 51-year-old has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Stockport Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 17 January. The victim, a woman in her 40s, was rushed to hospital with stab wounds and remains in stable condition. Detectives believe the attack was targeted and say there is no wider threat to the public.
