Manchester Man Charged Over Alleged Metrolink Incidents
A 31-year-old man has been charged following an investigation into recent incidents on Greater Manchester’s Metrolink network.
Ghalib Saeed, of Eadington Street, Manchester, faces four counts of administering a noxious substance with intent and three counts of causing public nuisance, Greater Manchester Police said.
He was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court today.
Detective Chief Inspector Paddy Connell said: “We treat incidents of this nature very seriously and will deploy all necessary resources to investigate.”
Police added they believe there is no broader risk to the public but urged anyone who witnessed suspicious behaviour to contact officers via 101, the force’s online Live Chat, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
