Man charged and due in court following burglaries probe
A 20-year-old man, Kyle Kelly, has been charged with multiple burglary and theft offenses following a police investigation into linked lock snap burglaries in Oldham and Manchester. He is set to appear in court today.
A 20-year-old man has been charged with 15 offences following an investigation into a spate of burglaries across Oldham and Manchester.
Kyle Kelly, of no fixed abode, faces two counts of attempted burglary, seven counts of burglary and six counts of motor vehicle theft. The charges relate to a series of lock snap burglaries, where offenders break the barrel of locks to force entry into properties.
Kelly appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court today (Thursday) after being remanded in police custody. The investigation forms part of Greater Manchester Police’s ongoing efforts to tackle burglary across the region.
Police confirmed they will continue responding to every burglary report as part of their strategy to increase solved cases and reduce crime levels throughout Greater Manchester.
