Bolton drug bust nets £6,500 of cocaine, Rolex and nitrous oxide

Bolton, 6 March 2025 — A 43-year-old man is in custody this morning after officers from Bolton’s Operation Challenger Unit smashed their way into a Bishopbridge Close property and seized crack cocaine, heroin and a Rolex watch believed bought with drug money.

Police forced entry at dawn following intelligence that Class A drugs were being distributed from the address. Inside they found cocaine valued at approximately £6,500, nitrous-oxide canisters and the luxury timepiece. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and remains in custody.

PC Trecarichi praised the tip-off that sparked the raid: “We have secured excellent results today, with an offender in our custody and illegal drugs and other items seized worth several thousands of pounds. We would not be able to achieve this without receiving intelligence from the local community, so please continue to submit information to us.”

Programme Challenger, Greater Manchester’s umbrella operation against serious and organised crime, targets county-lines networks, child exploitation, modern slavery and firearms. Trecarichi added: “Our Challenger teams across Greater Manchester are committed to tackling county lines and we will act upon any concerns or information the community give to us to tackle serious and organised crime for good.”
