Greater Manchester Police recovered a concealed knife during a targeted weapons sweep in Derker, Oldham, this morning as part of Operation Vulcan.

Officers searched a wooded area near Henshaw Street following intelligence-led activity. The blade was found hidden and will now undergo forensic examination.

Detective Inspector Lee Newburn said: “This seizure removes a dangerous weapon from our streets. Operation Vulcan continues to disrupt serious violence affecting Oldham’s communities.”

No arrests were made at the scene. Patrols remain in the area.
