Detectives from the specialist CSE Major Incident Team, working as part of Operation Lytton, have secured additional charges against a man from Rochdale as part of their ongoing investigation into non-recent child sexual exploitation (CSE) offences.
Tahir Rashid, 52, of Hudsons Walk, Rochdale, appeared before Manchester Magistrates’ Court yesterday (26/06/2025) where he was postal charged with eight further serious sexual offences. These new charges are in addition to previous counts and include allegations of rape and indecent assault against a girl under 16.
Rashid is currently remanded in custody and is due to stand trial in September 2025 for all matters, including those first charged in May 2023.
