Further charge secured in connection with death of John Soyoye in Moston in 2020
Emerson Teta has been charged with murder, manslaughter and violent disorder over the November 2020 killing of John Soyoye in Moston, after being extradited from the Netherlands to the UK.
Emerson Teta will stand before Manchester Crown Court tomorrow charged with the November 2020 killing of John Soyoye, after Dutch authorities handed the 25-year-old over to UK police on Tuesday.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed Teta, born 29 October 2000, faces one count each of murder, manslaughter and violent disorder. Officers arrested him in the Netherlands in January and secured his extradition on 8 April. After a brief appearance at Manchester Magistrates’ Court this morning, he was remanded to appear at the crown court on Friday.
Teta becomes the fourth man detained, extradited and charged in the Moston murder inquiry so far this year.
