Two men (50 and 52) and a woman (42) were arrested on suspicion of murder and assisting an offender, respectively, and released on bail. A 64-year-old man previously arrested has also been bailed. Authorities are urging the public to come forward with any information, including CCTV or doorbell footage.

Four people are now in custody after a 50-year-old man was found dead at an Eldon Street property in Oldham last week, with detectives pursuing multiple lines of enquiry.

Emergency services were called to the address at 7:50 pm on Wednesday, 28 May, where the man was pronounced dead. Greater Manchester Police have not released his name, but confirmed his family have been notified and are being supported by specialist officers.

Two men aged 50 and 52, along with a 42-year-old woman, were arrested on Tuesday, 3 June, on suspicion of murder and assisting an offender respectively, and released on bail. They join a 64-year-old man detained earlier on suspicion of murder, also bailed while forensic and witness work continues.

Detective Chief Inspector Zahid Latif urged residents who noticed anything unusual around Eldon Street between 27 and 29 May, or who possess CCTV or doorbell footage from the area, to contact police. “We have now made four arrests as part of this investigation, and are continuing at pace with our enquiries as we work to establish the full circumstances of this man’s death,” he said. “Ultimately, we want to provide key answers for his family and friends, and I would urge anyone in the community with information to please come forward.”
