Dr Kershaw's Hospice awarded £270k in government funding
Dr Kershaw's Hospice in Royton has been awarded £277,090 in government funding as part of a £75 million national investment to improve hospice care services in England. The funds will be used for capital projects, including upgrading oxygen delivery equipment, installing air conditioning, purchasing new patient beds, and exploring electric vehicles for the community team. The hospice must raise most of its annual £5.4 million operational budget through fundraising, as only a quarter is government-funded.
