Arrest made following investigation into multiple burglary and theft incidents in Bolton

A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with multiple burglary and theft incidents in the Astley Bridge area of Bolton, following reports of vehicle crime and burglary offences on and around 2 April. The suspect is being held for questioning on suspicion of fourteen offences. Police continue to appeal for information from the public.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man suspected of committing fourteen burglaries and thefts in Astley Bridge on April 2, following a rapid investigation into a crime spree that targeted vehicles and properties across the neighborhood.

The arrest came after officers received multiple reports of break-ins and thefts throughout the area, prompting Bolton’s Neighbourhood Crime Team to launch an immediate investigation. The suspect remains in custody for questioning as detectives continue building their case.

“We are absolutely dedicated to investigating them to the best of our ability,” said Sergeant Thomas Bayliss of Greater Manchester Police’s Bolton Neighbourhood Crime Team. “Within days of launching our investigation, we were able to secure the arrest of a man on suspicion of various offences.”
