Oldham transport strategy 2050 consultation opens
Greater Manchester is developing a new Transport Strategy 2050 and Delivery Plan 2027-2037 to replace current documents. A public consultation on these draft plans runs from Tuesday 9 December 2025 until 11.59pm on Monday 9 March 2026. Feedback collected during this period will shape the final version scheduled for release in 2026. The new strategy aims to sustain and transform the Bee Network through 2050 with bold investment plans. Current frameworks include the Transport Strategy 2040 and the Five-Year Transport Delivery Plan 2021-2026. Ten Local Implementation Plans exist to detail priorities for each district including Oldham. The region maintains a target to reach net zero carbon by 2038 alongside air quality improvements.
